virgin at all this.. wondering if the Bedini/Fan charger is a start, followed by paralleling them for the higher AH rating (i.e. C20 requirement) ?

Or should I jump straight into the http://free-energy-info.co.uk/Chapter6.pdf ?

Have about 6 fans so far from some servers I got my hands on ... they are rated at 1amp/12V

Aside, is there any notes on the BEMF, charge rates, etc on the fan chargers ? For instance, what the limit in terms of AH that a single fan charger handles ?

I now satisfied with the circuit I post previously. I can fully charge a 7Ah 12V gel battery in 5 hours with around 700mA input.

Please measure your fan system input and output current and voltage, with the real load. Charging speed will be directly proportional to the output current or output voltage.

My circuit is about +0.5V for empty 12V battery. for example, if the charged battery standing voltage is 12V, it will show 12.5V during charging. This is with about 300mA output.

Taking the fan apart is a nightmare -- I think that's the most complicated part.

Okay, after several broken fans, I managed to get 4 terminals . Wanted to double check if I did this correctly.
The wire in my fan are wrapped from one armuture to the opposite one. So I ave +/- on opposite ends. Is this correct ?

I believe so but a simple continuity test will confirm it.

In deed thre is continuity. I have hooked up a source (no charge battery as yet) and the fan spins fora fraction of a second then osicilates to a stand still. If I keep it connected, it starts to smell.
I have followed the connection on this diagram:

Besides knowing which is the trigger/charge start/end, it checks out.
Any ideas of why the fan will not spin ?

Try swapping the polarity of the trigger coil
