I ran across the concept OU charging that results in greater capacity about 6 months ago. Been too busy to do anything with it since then...but I've got a week off coming up! :)

Ever since I found out about better-than-OEM battery conditioning, I've wanted to use it on my Cell Phone to get more talk time.

But I really don't know if it would work. Anyone have experience or solid theory to say whether it'd be worth doing for my Cell battery or not?

(If I do, you can be sure I won't test IN MY PHONE! :] I'd probably test with a cheap Radio Shack remote helicopter I've got... :)

Thanks!

I have not tried to charge cell phone batteries.
Over unity occurs in lead acid batteries but i have not got any figures for other types.
I would be interested to hear your results.

I had a positive result on a LiIon cell phone battery, it was not taking a charge with the supplied charger, but did
respond to an IRO charging session. Not sure what was wrong with the battery, but it did power up the phone
after about a half hour on the IRO.

That's encouraging!

I'm SUCH a newb here...I have SO many questions! :)

Did you find that the phone battery lasted longer after a few recharges than it did when new?

Did you need to do any modification to the output from the IRO before charging the phone?

Can the IRO work *from* AA batteries?

Are there any step-by-step instructions for the bidini-from-computer-fan that I could print out? (I've watched the video, but for some reason, I couldn't quite make sense of it)

Can the Bidini-from-computer-fan work from AA batteries? (I'm seriously thinking to build my phone charger to run off AA, bidini computer fan, and blowing the super-hot air in my office over ice packs, so my battery charger is also a cooling unit :)

Thanks!

my phone battery was "bad" from the package, I talked the retailer into replacement
(cuz the offered no refund) but I charged it for a week on the standard charger. No dice, the IRO was the only
useful charger for the cell phone battery that did not work.

IMO using AA batts is a good idea, and multi-tasking is great too! Builds your OU work load when you multi-task :D
