Notice that my circuit efficiency actually increase when the load has higher voltage. I would think the opposite, more battery in series will improve efficiency. For charging time I do notice that when I charge at 1Amp output for nicad it get faster but make the battery hot, it also make 12V battery...

Here is my latest circuit which help me charge two nicad in series in under one hour, 12V under 6 hour. Performance data charging two 1.2V nicad (1000mAh): Input: 0.7A @ 10.4V = 7.28watt Output: 0.45A @ 3.2V = 1.44watt (at full battery) Efficiency: 19% Performance data charging one 12V gel SLA (7Ah/...

As a test I simply hooked up a 12v battery to my Ignition Coil and then hook the Ignition coil to a CFL. It will light the CFL extremely bright for a second and then go out. If I tap the negative connection to the negative post of my battery it will flicker. I think your experiment similar to mine....

From my recent experience. NiMH definitely easier to charge and recover. With charging power definitely much better than 1 day charger. I manage to increase some gel lead acid battery. A working battery would easily charged to 15v in 3 hour. NiCD could also be charged. For zinc carbon, it is a mixed...

Have you ever read Scauberger work? He can combust water by converting it in a chamber, using vertical and horizontal swirling inside copper egg shaped chamber, same device used to purify water. If water can be made more explosive, original fuel maybe give more result. Maybe swirling fuel will impro...
