Boost the amps with carbon.!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting continuous reading, reading both volts and amps at the same time of 0.2+ volts @ 13+ milliamps. That's a LOT of amps for a inch square cell. Submerged in salt water the cell reads 0.3+ volts @ 15+ milliamps. I have a home made woodgas stove I can c...

Hi altrez, That's pretty good voltage, volts happen almost without trying. In the same way that they just happen, you can see them disappear too, it's strange. :( Try 3 nails with a rubber band around them, wrapped in a paper towel. Then wrap the copper wire around the paper towel. You should get a ...

I lost it. I can't get that 30mA back. It looked hopeful there, but I have not been able get the amps back up since I rebuilt the cells. 30mA was very doable and could have been useful. Water evaporates very quickly and you end up losing the gains archived. This must be fixed to before gains can bec...

bigsupersquid and mbrownn, ah, it seems you are both right. I've used that chart before. I hated chemistry, so it stands to reason I wouldn't want the answer to be that one ... grumble. Electromotive Series http://www.diracdelta.co.uk/science/sou ... ource.html I still don't like it one bit though :...

"so it is the chemistry", well, if you want a bigger bang you add more gun power to your chemistry mix .. More would/should create more, but isn't creating more. More surface area for chemistry reaction isn't creating more voltage. A 3 foot battery or a 1/4 inch battery are the same voltag...

Why are all battery cell voltages limited to between 1.5 and 2 volts? A lithium cells can be 3 volts or more. Size of the cell appears to not effect this limitation. A single cell watch battery has about same voltage as a much larger cell in car battery. Why? Why can not a single cell exceed these l...

The 5 - 1.5" x .75" cells were up to 5.5 volts and 30 mA (yes, I'm reading it correctly now). On two cells the soldering came loose. I figured that was going to happen and yep it did, bad design from the get go. I broke-down all 5 cells and rebuilt each container (a couple were leaking wat...
